This Day. A feature, of iho Burneide sales to-day was the large yarding? of Mock in all departments. Prime quality animals sold at fairly high rates, but store cattle were neglected. gheop.—A largo vanling, of fair quality, numbering 2,749. ' All el.issoa of buyers were represented, but bidding was not very keen. Heavy-weight sheep were from Is to Is 6vl per head lower, while medium weight sheep sold at late rates. At the time of going to press the demand was fairly good, and sales were being effected at prices on a par with last week's rates. Extra prime heavy-weight bullocks made from £22 up to £23 10s: prime from £lB 10s to £2l; medium from £l6 to £l7 10s; light and unfinished kinds from £l4 upwards. Primo heifers made up to £ls 15s; medium from £ls to £l4 10s; light and aged from £9 upwards. Store Cattle.—An exceptionally large yarding was offered, but the demand was Very slack. Prices appear to be going from bad to worse. I'oung cattle, in particular, suffered the greatest reduction in price. Pigs.—A good yarding was offered, and all met with a ready sale. Store pigs were somewhat easier in price, but baeoners and porkers brought full late rates. Beat baconers made from 9|d to IOJd per lb, and best porkers from 9Jd to 10|d per lb.
