ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
Whilst cycling down the main street r.bout 5.45 'one night last, week (says the 'Bruce Herald'), Miss Bossio Wisely collided with a wandering horse opposite the post office, with tho result that alio wa-. knocked off her bk-vcle and rendered unconscious. Apparently, the horse had hem left standing'outside; "the port office whilst vis rider was transacting business inside. The. animal then wandered across the road, with the result that the ladv ran into it in the dark, and, as the ae*ideal was not witnessed bv anvone, she continued to he. vnconsciouri'iu the street until discovered bv a passing motor ' yciiat. 'The sudden o>ath occurred on _ Monday of Miss Rosa Richardson- a waitress at tho Waitaki Bov«' High School, who dropped dead after waiting at tabic Her relatives reside at Pounawea, but a, sister is living near Pnkeuri. The sudden, fatal itv (savs th'-r 'Oamaru Mai!') caused a, wave of depression, at the school, where; Mias Richard:-on had been \yejl liked Patrick Crawf-nd, inameu, aged bV>, living in York place, was found dead in his bed to-day. He was a retired railway engine-driver, and had been m ill-health for some time. The matter lias been reported to the coroner. Heart failure is supposed to have been tho cause ot death.
