OBITUARY

The death occurred at her residence, Hosebank, Balriutha, on Sunday night of Mrs Margaret M'Lean, an old identity of the Clutha. district. The deceased lady, who was 82 years of age, wa-s born rn Nairn, Scotland, and married Mr Win. M'Lean. of that place. About 50 > years ago tho couple (reports the ‘Leader’) emigrated to New Zealand, landing at Pert Chalmers from the ship oUam Cloud. They walked- to Inchclutha, where the late Mr M'Luan was employed fay the kto fair E. Bowler for right yeans. They next bought a farm at Ahuriri Flat, and had resided there bill Mr M’Lean’s death, 19 years ago.
