TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—R© duty on soft drinks-, which will be passed on to the public. Take, for instance, the pint bottle, which at present costs 3d retail. A person buying one bottle in future will nave to pay which will work out at an advance of 4d per gajlon--ane penny duty and 3d to be divided between the manufacturer and retailer.—l am, etc., A Woskeb.
