ST. MARY'S ORPHANAGE
The monthly meeting of the St. Mary's Orphanage Ladies' Committee' was held on Friday last, and was attended by Miss Williams (in the chair). Mesdames Rattray, Vivian, ' Stanley Batchelor, Burnett, Coombes, Cameron, Misses Rattray and Davidson. Mesdames Stanley Batchelor and Vivian were appointed visitors to the orphanage for November. The acting matron acknowledged the receipt from various donors of potatoes fruit, vegetables, oatmeal, jam, and groceries, clothes and boots, cakes and flowers eggs to preserve, dolls, and a cradle, from various kind friends. Gifts of Hour, oatmeal, syrup, and sheeW as well as wood for kindling, will he Spiteviily received, - • ' **
