AUCKLAND, August 21. A -warm discussion took place at the rting of the Management Committee of Auckland Rugby Leaguo in consequence of Mr M'Donald, the selector, having chosen Savoury as one oi the team to play against Wellington on Saturday. This player -was disqualified for life by the Auckland League for alleged rough play, but the disqualification was removed by the New Zealand Council on appeal by Savoury. A motion that Savoury be reregistered was defeated by 6 votes to 4, but Mr M'Donald declined to replace Savoury. JHJe said he was not going to reriirn, and that the league would have to push him out and get another selector. A motion was carried tmanimously that Mr M'Donald be withdrawn from t,he position es selector and Mr Campbell appointed instead, and that M. Hayward be chosen to ■oanLuje' Savoury' in the A-nfl-ln.nd team.
