[l'kf. United Piu:ss Association.] WIvSI'PORT, May 23. Collins's music and fancy goods depot, part, of a large block of buildings., was gutted by iito at 2.30 this morning. An ex plosion of fireworks in the stock aroused the neighbors. The stock wja destroyed by lire and water, but tho building was saved. The insurance on tho stack was £4OO. Tho b'ro may have been caused by a spirit lamp accidentally left burning. REKPTON, May 2-1. The first tire for four years occurred this morning, when Wills and (Jo.'a large drapery and grocery store on tho Bailor road wat> burned to tho ground. Water was long in being provided, owing to economy being practised, due to the dry weather. Aii adjoining building was 6uved! Wills and Oo.'s loss will be heavy, as they were carrying £7,000 worth of stock, which was insured for £I,BOO only, distributed in tho Standard, South British, Now Zealand, Victoria, Norwich Union, and Phumix Officer.
