A MOTHER MISSING.
Mrs Melville, about twenty-six years of ;igt;, the wife of a f-ailor residing at Ea«Town, Wanganui. disappeared on Saturday, and has uot been seen since. Kho loft a uote saying good-bye, as she could not stand the worry any longer. The wax portion of a box of matches was found in the kitchen, and it is feared that tho woman has committed suicide. • Two children, aged thirteen months and three years, were left on tho -verandah. The mother told them she was going to hring them lollies.
