SOUTH WALES MINERS. Frees Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, November 1. Thirty thousand employees will come out on strike in connection -with the South Wales mining trouble. NEW YORK EXPRESSMEN. RIOTING RESUMED. NEW YORK, November 1. Fifteen hundred additional expressmen have struck, and rioting has been resumed. As a result of repeated police charges many people were injured and many arrested. The mayor (Mr Gaynor) is negotiating for a settlement of the trouble. A STRIKE SETTLED. SYDNEY, November 2. (Received November 2, at 9.5 a.m.) Th© trimmers’ strike at Newcastle is settled. WATERSIDE WORKERS: DECISIVE VOTE. [Per United Press Association.] WESTPORT, November 2. The Waterside Workers’ Union took a ballot on th© proposal to join the New Zealand Federation of Labor (as repre seated by the trades councils). The vote was: For, 4; against, 88. The Westport watersiders favor joining the Miners’ Federation of Labor. The Greymouth wharf men take the opposite view.
