PREPARING FOR 1911
Mr Maurice Harding, of Dargaville, intends to contest the Kaipara seat at the next General Election. Mr Harding is president of the Farmers’ Uniqp, and also president of the Northern Wairoa A. anil P. Association. He is very popular among the farming community, He is also likely to receive solid support from the No-license party. A Carterton message states that Mr J. T M. Hornsby, ex-M.P. for Wairarapa, has acceded to the unanimous request of an influential Liberal meeting asking him to stand for election ,again. Mr Hornsby had decided not to further contest the seat, and at first refused, but ultimately consented. A strong Liberal League is formed to secure his return. Mr R. M‘Nab is to be asked to contest the PahneiKton North seat, and it is understood that in the event of his consenting his candidature will he strongly supported.
