FIRST GRADE GAMES
To-morrow will bring the first round of senior matches to a. close. The most interesting game should be the Port Chalmers v. Southern, -on the Caledonian Ground. At Garisbrock Alhambra meet the Pirates, and the Red-ancl-Blacks should finish up the Cist round without a defeat. University should lie able to account for the Union. This match will also be played at Carisbrook, and should provide an interesting exhibition of Rugby. At Bishopscourt the match Dunedin v. Kaikorni should prove an attraction. _ The ZingariRichmond journey to Mosgiel to. meet the Taierl Rovers, and residents of the plain should witness a clo.se game. SCHOOLS’ SOCCER. Seniors.—High Street A v. SeJwyn College, at Gardens (referee, Mr R. B. Shepherd). Juniors.—Kaikorai v. George Street, on the Asylum Ground (Mr S. Wilson); Caversham v. Green Island, at Culling Park (Mr T. Broomfield); Maori Hill v. St. Patricks, at the Clear (Mr W. Beeby); Union Street v. Mornington A, at Montecillo (Mr J. Tilv). third Grade.—Ravensboume v. High School B, at Ravensbourne (Mr J. Connor) ; Wakari v. Mornington (B, on the Oval No. 2 (Mr J. Mason); Albany Street a bye. All the above games at 1 p.m. Matches in which Christian Brothers’ teams are competing are cancelled till a future date, owing to the school vacation.
The following were the results of yesterday’s senior games at Timaru: —l emuka 8 beat Pirates nil, Zingari 6 beat Star nil, Celtic 3 beat Timaru nil.
