TO-DAY’S PARLIAMENT
[From Our Own Reporter,]
Mr Arnold drew attention to the discontinuance of the practice of supplying J.P.s with a bound copy of the statutes annually, and gave notice to ask the Government to reconsider their decision in the matter.
Mr Arnold also gave notice to ask the Minister of Education whether it, is intended to bring down a Bill this session to enable those teachers who had hitherto been unable to become contributors to the superannuation fund to now become original members, on payment of a sum equal to the amount of the contributions they would have paid had they become contributors prior to Juno, 1906, together with interest at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum.
