Lord Cureon, in a letter to 'The Times,' dwells upon the magnitude and importance of the proposed changes, which, he says, are dne to Lord Morlev acting on the advice of the Decentralisation Commission. Lord Curzon supports the late Lord John Lawrence's (Governor-General of India, 1864) dictem that a personal administration by "a single head without a Council is the best form of government for India.
Sir Walter R. Lawrence has resigned his position on the Council of India. It is understood that he views with misgivings Lord Morlev's reforms.
