ACCIDENT AND DEATHS
Mrs Phyllis Brooke, employed as a barmaid ait the Criterion Hotel, Napier while out riding yesterday was thrown tomr her horse and her skull fractured, bho died in the hospital about three hours later. A Nelson P.A. message states that the mf ant son of MrJ. H. Lines, eettler, Wai-iti, playing in a paddock, when his sister ? ? mae> Sbe went OUlt «nd found the child lying unconscious, with a- contused voimd in the head. Ifc is supposed that a tho paddock kicked the child. A,doctor was sent:for,.but death ensued & few noma later.
