THE FUTURE OF IRELAND

MR REDMOND AND THE GOVERNMENT. NO lIALFWAY* MEASURES. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, September 24. Mr John Redmond, M.P., Leader of the Nationalists, speaking at Limerick, complained that the present able and sympathetic Government were unable to govern Ireland according to Irish ideas, and added Hhat neither he nor the Irish party were in any sense responsible for a makeshift ajiministrative Home Rule Government. He meant to propose next session that the Irish should accept nothing short of complete Home Rule, meaning a Parliament freely elected, with an Executive responsible to it. When the measure of the Government was produced it would be submitted to the Irish National Convention. His influence -would be used to induce the Irish people to reject any proposals tending to endanger tbe prestige and power of the Irish National party or to weaken or disrupt the national movement. It was imperative to preserve a united and powerful national organisation until full national freedom -was obtained.
