ATTEMPTED WIFE MURDER
WELLINGTON, July 20. Carl MkJschwas charged to-day \wtn the attempted murder of his wife. Mrs Mielsch. stated that she '■l as living apart from ac-cused,-and that recoatly ho was fined for asaulting her. She met him on the night of the alleged attempted murder, and they were on good terms. On leaving a friend's house accused picked up an axe and raised it, and she remembered no more until she awoke in tlio hospital. Tho case is nrc*eeding,,
