THE SEDDON-TAYLOR SUIT

[Special to the Stah.]

( CHRISTCHURCH, January 12. The Supreme Court authorities admit that the application for a new trial has been lodged in the Seddon-Taylor case, but decline to state the specific "nature of it. The parties to the case are almost equally reticent The plaintiff's solicitor says he has no information to give at present, and Air Taylor will give no definite information. He states that he has.filed no motion, and has not moved further in the matter at all, but he understood that the plaintiff had done so. He had also heard that a motion would be made in reference to some alleged irregularities. He was practically certain of that application. It is further understood that if the motion for a new trial and change of venue should come on, as suggested, the defendant will oppose the motion in every possible legitimate way, on the ground that there is no sufficient reason for such a course, and that to grant the application would be an uncalled-for reflection upon both the Judge and the jury.
