LOVE TROUBLES.
CHRISTCHURCH, April 6. Stanley M'Leod Smith, eighteen years of age, employed as office boy and messenger by the local branch of the Mutual Life Association of Australasia, was found about ten .o’clock this rooming in a yard at he bads' of the office with a revolver shot wound in .his forehead. The revolver was found beside him. Two chambers were discharged. Smith, who was unconsdous, was removed to the hospital. At present it is not known if the wound will prove fatal. Letters found on him indicate that be had premeditated self-destruction, and also that he would give the of his rash act to the police authorities. The latter decline to state what the cause is, but it is understood that Smith was of a romantic turn of mind, and is said to have been worrying over love matters.
