CAPE TOWN, April 10, (Received April 11, at 8.50 a.m.)
Dan Grove has joined Botha and Emmet in an important land and railway project, embracing a large tract in the Viyheid district. A survey has been made of a new seaport in Natal, which will be fifty miles nearer the Rand than Durban.
FAMINE IN ZULULAND,
LONDON, April 10. The ‘Standard’ states that Zululand is threatened with famine. The Government are supplying women, children, and aged persons with mealies, as well as adults if they come and work.
