STEWARDS’ STAKES, of 30 sovs. Seven furlongs.—First Shot (8.5) 1, Slow Tom (8.7) 2. Puawai (8.5) 5. Scratched: Clarburn, Calotype, Fairy Queen. Won by a neck. Dividends, £5 2s and £l. DOMAIN TROT, of 25 sovs. One mile and a-half.—Black Star (19sec) 1, A.JR. (I2sec) 2, Daisy (7sec) 3. Won easily by several lengths. Dividends, £l4 3s and £1 18s.
SPRING HANDICAP, of 40 sots. One mile.—Magnificent (8 7) 1. Terrapin (8.9) 2. Cameo \7.12) 3. .Lady Lhlian was scratched. Dividend, £5.
It has been deemed advisable to postpone the Dunedin Harriers’ ladies' dav, which was to have been held to-morrow at Broad Bay. There is a possibility of the function being held on Labor Day.
