PRINCESS'S THEATRE.
Mr P. R. Dix's elaborate production of 'The Babea in the Wood' pantomime will be presented to-night . at the Princess'.* Theatre for the first time here. 'Babea iu the Wood' succeeded in drawing crowded bouses for four weeks in Wellington, and may therefore bo said to come to Duiiedia, with the hall-mark of success upon it. Fress comments and reports from those w ho have witnessed the production are enthusiastic in their praise, and state that there is; not a dull moment in it from beginning tav end. The scenery, costumes, properties, and appurtenances are all new, having., been specially made for «The Babes' ia the Wood.' The cast also calls for special mention, and, with the*uxiliaries engaged, numbers some 70 people. Severil new faces will be seen, and among these must be mentioned the Williams quartet, four exceptionally clever sisters, who are said to be among the cleverest artists on the vaudeville stage. Miss Ivy Scott and Miss Ivy Foster are also newcomers to Dunedin ; while included in the cast are such favorites as Miss Ida Roslyn (who plays "principal boy)," the Staunton sisters, Mr Tom Leonard, Mr George Dean, Mr M'Kisson, Mr Kearns, Mr Rivers, and many others. With bright new scenery and such a cast the success of the season should be assured.
