MOUNTED CORPS FOR WYNDHAM.

WYNDHAM, January 22.

Over seventy attended n. meeting at Wyndham last evening re forming a mounted rifle corps. Great enthusiasm was evinced. Over forty joined. Mr R. M'Nab, MJH.R. for Mataura, was unanimously elected captain. He was formerly captain of the G. Battery. Invercargill. and of the North Dunedin Rifles. The new corps will be named the Murihiku Mounted Rifles, with their headquarters at Wyndham.
