The attendance is large, and promises to be a record for the club. ReBaits : ANNIVERSARY HANDICAP, of 150 sovsl One mile.-Melwood (7.12) 1. Phooka (7.7) 2, Magnificent (7.2) 3. Also ran: Whitirea(7.9), Spider (7.8), ifirst Blood (7.7), Perfection (7.5), Hypnotist (7.0), and Sirins (7.0). Melwood was the first away and led for a conplo of furlongs, when he gave way to Spider, who carried on the running to the turn. J Here Melwood came again, and won easily by a length and a-half. Time, lmin 44sec. Dividend, £i lis. MAIDEN PLATE, of 100 sovs. One mile.— Fashion (a 4) 1, C*det (8.13) 2, Laurestina (8.13) 3. Scratched: Kohunui and Sabreur. Won easily by three lengths. Time, lmin 43 4-ssec. Dividend, £2 l2s. WELLINGTON CUP, of 650 sovs. One mile and a-half. Hon. J. D. Ormond's Renown, by Dreadnought —Lyrebird, 3 yrs, 8.10 ... 1 Hon. Time, 2min 35 2-5:-ec. Dividend, £i 4s. THE WELLESLEY STAKES, of 300 sovs. Pour furlongs.—Mr Stead's Menschikoff 1, Mr Watt's Indian Queen 2, Sir G. Clifford's Windwhistle 3, Also started: Meteor. Won all the way by six lengths, Time, 49sec. Dividend, £l9a ■ ■ OTAGO YACHT CLUB. A committee meeting of the above clnb was held in the Provincial Hotel last evbning, Mr Chapman (the commodore) presiding. The application of the Ravensbourne Regatta Committee that the second series of club races be sailed in conjunction with their regatta on February 2 was agreed to, the Ravensbourae Club being left to fix the time of starting the various races. The dates for the other races will be the same. It was decided to ask the Otogo Regatta Committee to p'ace first, second, and third j class yacht races on their programme.
Foxton races were continued to-day. Results .'—January Handicap, Warwick (£3 3s); Maiden Hack Hurdles, Morning (£6O 16s); President's, Bona Fide (£3 19s).
