Mildura this forenoon, and communicated to Captain Kings Mill the sad. news of Her Majesty's illness, and expressed the fear that the celebration which had been fixed upon for the - reception of the troopers would have to be set aside. Captain Kings Mill assured the' mayor that-every preparation had been made' by him to land parties of his crew to take part in the-welcome of the returned troopers. He need not say that universal regret was' felt on board.the Mildura at Her Majesty's critical state. There will be a short re- ■ ligions serviceat seven-o'clock to-night in-the ! Custom-house square, Port Chalmers. The Bishop of Dunedin calls attention in another column to the fact that the Cathedral and many parochial: churches are open all day for prayer on behalf of Her Majesty tho Queen, and he trusts that the laity will avail themselves in numbers of the opportunity.'
