The Committee offer cordial thanks to all' helpers. The Chairman reported having communicated with the city and suburban churches as to collections on behalf of the mission funds. Last year there were several hearty responses. The mission being undenominational, it is hoped all the churches may assist. The Missionary reported as follows in regard to Bible classes in State schools:— Mjss Croft assists on Mondays at High street; Mr Reid takes half of the class at Union street: both Mr Ferguson and Mr' Spence assist at Albany, street. Hopes are still expressed that volunteers may come forward and assist at George street .and Arflrtir street;"' The Committee -earnestly beg that parents who are-in sympathy will in every way support Mr Wright in this useful service. The averages since the 1 classes resumed this year have been: High Street 124. Union street 90, Albany street 94, George street 86, Arthur street 100. The proportion of boys is very unsatisfactory.
The singing class at Russell street has been resumed by Miss Morrison. Nearly forty names are enrolled, and \m Tuesday evening twenty-six were present. These young people assist in the service of praise on Sunday evenings. By request, Mrs Milne, of the New Hebrides, gave at Russell street last Sunday evening an excellent account of her experiences during a long ~ residence on these islands of the sea. Other friends have assisted. The offerings for the month amounted to £t-3s sd. Last week Mr Wright lectured in Waihemo on 'The Power of Music and Song' for the benefit of the local library; and on Sunday conducted an evangelistic service.
