August 24. With the exception of Westralia, all the colonies have replied favoring the suggestion of the Colonial Treasurer (the Hon. Mr Holder) that the Agent-General of each colony be asked to represent to Mr Goschen that Australia is deeply interested^- in bimetallism. - The Treasurers suggestion was the outcome of MrQoschen’s recent reply to the American envoys to the proposed international bimetallic con* ference.
