GOOD TEMPLARY.

♦ ■ ■ The Hope of Dunedin Lodge held their weekly meeting on Friday, in the Rattray street Oddfellows' Hill, there being a good attendance of members and visitors, C.T. Bro. Q. W. Sandeman presiding. Correspondence from the distriot secretary was received re the record lodge meeting to be held in the Choral Hall on the 30th inst., and a committee was appointed to carry out the arrangements. The lodge were also notified that the Grand Chief Templar (Bro. E. H. Taylor, of the Thames) would begin a lecturing tour shortly, and be in Dunedin in August. As the G.C.T. is spoken very highly of as a lecturer, fte news was reoeived with applause. The Anniversary Committee reported, and recommended that the entertainment be held about the beginning of July. Official visits to the Dayspring and to the Lily of the Valley were arranged. The C.T. reported re the visit to'the Star of Roslyn, which had been a great success. After a short recess the good of the Order was opened by an address and reading of quotations from the 'Standard ' by the L.D. Songs were sung by Bro. O'Brien, Barlow, Gillam, and the C.T., Sisters Mackinley, Stonebridge, Smith, and Whale ; recitations by Sisters Beasley aud Bro. Birrell. The vote of thanks to the visitors was responded to by Sis. Strachan (l)ayspring. Lodge), Sister Whale (Star of Freedom), and representatives of the Lily of the Valley and Pioneer Lodges.
