| i__ ' Mr John Cameron, an old Colonist who landed in Canterbury iu the fifties, died at Christchurch yesterday. He was in the firm of Cookaon and Bowler in the early days. Later on he was a member of the firm of Cameron and Co., and then of that of Cameron and Bamfield. He lived a retired life.for the last ton years. Ellen Summers, five months old, died of convulsions at Hawksbury on Saturday. Iu the Kaikorai-Alhambra matoh on Saturday Phillips, one of the latter's team, sustained a broken nose by colliding with a player iu the opposing aide.
