MELBOURNE, October 21

The ship Lindisfarue had a terrible experience ou her last voyage Home. Alter striking a rock and putting back for repairs she lost a seaman overboard when three days Out, and at the time of rounding the Cape the carpenter went mad and died. The vessel then encountered a fearful hurricane, and was partially dismasted. The chief officer had his spine fractured by a falling spar and succumbed, to his injuries; the second officer was also severely injured and incapacitated by frost bite; and the vessel being consequently short-handed the crew had the greatest difficulty in working the vessel.
