TROUBLE IN ROUMELIA.

SOFIA, July 29,
Nows has hcou received hero that the Macedonians defeated tho Turks and captured and burned Melenik. A thousand Macedonians marched in procession through the chief streets of tho city yesterday singing war songs and praising tho Russian people. They also cheered tho loading Bulgarian officers and politicians. A number of Bulgarian officials attended tho cathedral, whore a service to commemorate the memory of two Macedonian officers who were killed in the recent fighting was being held. This is said to be intended as an indication of hostility to Turkey and the foreign consuls. It is reported that Russian agents instigated tho rising. [Special to Press Association.] ►SOFIA, July 29. The Macedonians have burned the Turkish quarter of Melenik, a town of 6,000 inhabitants.
