FIRE AT AUCKLAND.
—: « AUCKLAND, December 31. A fire at Mount Eden road destroyed the premises occupied by Griffen, fancy goods dealer, and two shops and a cottage owned by Mrs Harris and occupied by the London Dairy Company, and one shop owned by Anderson and ocoupied by, Johnstone, grocer. . Mrs Harris is insured in the Royal lor £400; Chisholm, the occupant of the dairy premises, had his furniture insured for £IOO in the New Zealand; Anderson's shop! £2OO in the Imperial; Johnstone's stock, £IOO in the Commercial; while Griffen's stock was insured in the North German. There is a total loss in each case.
