Influetzii is severe at Liverpool and Essex. Six thousand cases are reported at Guernsey and 25,000 in Venice. The Grenadier and Coldstream Guards and London postmen are suffering from the di-aease. BERLIN, January 8.

Professor Pffiefer has injected bacillus into monkeys and rabbits, thus causing influenza. Dr Koch confirms the discovery of influenza baoillus. The bacilli are extremely small but amazingly prolific.
