NORTH-EAST VALLEY BAND SPORTS.

The second annual picnic and sports were held yesterday in Schlotel's paddock, N.E. Valley, and attended by about 1,500 people. The band (under the conductorship of Mr VV. H. Corrigan) contributed selections and danco music throughout the afternoon. Most of the events were keenly contested. Mr S. Myers acted as judge, Mr P. Fagan as starter, and Mr H. Lamer as handicapper, giving every satisfaction. The following is a list of the principal events :
