FIRES.
A lire at Mauku (Auckland) on Saturday destroyed the house and outbuildings of Mr Frank Kavanagh. Insurances: L2OO in the New Zealand, and L 75 in the South British offices.
M'Kenzie and RofFs mill, Seaward Bush, was burnt on Saturday night. The mill was owned by the Dunedin Iron and Woodware Company, and was uninsured. By the destruction of three cottages at Napier yesterday the South British lose L 425 on account of the buildings and LI 50 on account of the contents.
