LANDSLIDE IN SPAIN
SEVENTY BURIED ALIVE

A landslide buried alive 70 people who were sleeping in 20 houses at Alcala de Lugar, 30 miles north-west of Albacete. Six dead and 40 seriously injured have, been removed from the houses. Little hope remains for the others. The landslide occurred at dawn after two days of intensive rainstorms.
