OUT OF BALANCE

SLEEPY FOX CRITICISED

(By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright.) SYDNEY, September 6. Randwick track men say that the New Zealander Sleepy Fox has deposed the Queenslander Abbeville as the prince of trotters. One experienced watcher says he has never seen a horse who can break into a canter so readily as Sleepy Fox. Even Abbeville gives a bit of a skip before he changes gait, but Sleepy Fox does not falter The track men agree about the plainness of Sleepy Fox, and one critic says there is not a chance of the gelding staying. He bases this on the application of the old Arab rule of balanceequal measurements from the upper lip to the middle of the wither and from the middle of the wither to the last joint of the tail. Sleepy Fox is said 'to be a full three inches out of balance, and, says the critic, no horse that much out of balance can stay.
