MONTH'S GAOL
Edward Joseph Gear, waterside worker, 54. admitted in the Magistrate's Court today the theft of an oilskin coat valued at £2 16s 2d, the property of the Union Steam Ship Company, Ltd.. and was sentenced to a month's imprisonment by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M It was stated that the accused had taken the coat from the hold of a ship where he had been working.
