DEATH AT 102
P-A. AUCKLAND, This Day. Mrs. Isabella Bain Munro is dead aged 102. She lived until recently in Tauranga, but entered the Onehunga Convalescent Home last Sunday. She was born at Lossiemouth, Scotland, on February 19, 1842. Lossiemouth was the birthplace also of the late Mr. Ramsay Macdonald, and he was a boyhood playmate of Mrs. Munro's children. In 1903 Mrs. Munro and her husband, a ship's officer, came to New Zealand, and Mr. Munro established a shipwright's business in Auckland. On his retirement from business the family lived at Lake Rotoiti. Mr. Munro died in 1916. Mrs. Munro is survived by a son, a daughter, five grandchildren, and nine great-grand-children.
