ENGLISH CROP TRAGEDY
Rec. 1.15 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 29. The Minister if Agriculture, Mr. R. S. Hudson, after inspecting raindamaged crops in north-east England, said: "The harvest which promised so well has become tragic. Much of the grain will have to be used for fodder.
"The poor harvest will have some effect on the winter food supply, but will not be serious."
