ACTION WELCOMED
HUTT HARBOUR COMMISSION Mr. C. H. Griffin, president of the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Inc.), today announced the intention- of his chamber to give evidence before the Hutt Harbour Commission on the question of port facilities. The matter had closely engaged the attention of the chamber for some time, he said, and the setting up of the Commission was welcomed by the major industrial and commercial concerns in the Valley. The chamber regarded the matter as of such importance that it appointed a research officer to investigate the economics of the subject and to assemble the necessary information on its behalf.
