48,000 TONS IN QUARTER
Rec. noon. RUGBY, April 5. The Secretary for Air, Sir Archibald Sinclair, informed questioners in the House of Commons that during the first three months of 1944 aircraft of the Bomber Command dropped 48,000 tons of bombs in Germany compared with 2400 tons dropped on Britain in the same period. The percentage of loss sustained by the Bomber Command over Germany and German-occupied territory during March was the lowest reported in the past two years.—B.O.W.
