i . LONDON, January 5 A correspondent says of Lieut.General Xeese: "He is already known affectionately and respectfully by Eighth Army troops. He is bound to become a popular Army commander." General Montgomery told the Eighth Army this about their new leader: "I shall hand over the Army with complete and absolute confidence to a very experienced fighting general who has served with me and with all of us. I could want to hand over to no better man, and so the future of the Army is good." -
