Rec. 1.30 p.m. LONDON, January 5. A Pacific Fleet communique reports that army Liberators bombed Jaluit yesterday. Army medium bombers scored two hits on a cargo transport at Jaluit on Monday. Army divebombers, escorted by* Airacobras, raided Mille on Monday. One fighter was lost. -■,
Enemy planes dropped bombs on Tarawa, Makin, and Abemama on Monday and Tarawa, again on Tuesday. The installations were not damaged.
