35 YEARS' SERVICE

A long-service badge for 35 years' faithful service in the W.C.T.U. was presented to Mrs. Pearson -at the annual meeting of the Brooklyn branch. Special mention was made of Mrs. Brewer's work in connection with the L.T.L. and satisfaction expressed at the fact that two Brooklyn children gained honours and won the gold medal and challenge shield and the silver medal respectively in the recent •scientific temperance examinations. On her unanimous re-election as president Mrs. Brewer was presented with a bouquet by Mrs. Gittings. Other officers were re-elected unopposed. Sprays of flowers were also given to the officers and superintendents of departments, and votes of thanks passed to the trustees of the Brooklyn Presbyterian and Methodist Churches. Mrs. Peryman was the guest speaker at the meeting.
