In a meeting at the Mbleswbrth Street Methodist Hall last night, Mr. A. H. Caiman (Independent) stressed the need for positive thought and action if We were riot to develop into a country of "yes-men." So many seemed quite prepared to leave their thinking to a few and were content to obey Orders. , This was.the Way the totalitarian State; came, by the submission of the people to orders* with which;;they did n6t agree, but Which they nevertheless accepted* Mr. Garm^n. urged the electors tp Vote positively* for the man and for What he stood for» father than merely for the label attached to any particular candidate. 'If, good government was to be securedj it would require much greater care by the electors in the Selection of <;their representatives. The tissue; said the. candidate, Was not confined to the two main parties, f or" <in many Ways they both represented the bid order. New method^,; fresh rideas, Vision, and Courage were required to shape a new order where hUnian beings came first, and the public now had the opportunity -to support1 young men possessing these qualities, and by their vote to record their real wishes.
