HOUSING UNDER LABOUR
Mr. E. R. Toop, National, Wellington South, addressed a - Well^attended meeting, in St. James Hall last hight. He said that Mr.; Nash claimed that in six years under Labour 38,600 houses had been builtj and Claimed this as a record .over earlier years Uhder free enterprise. Mr. Tobp quoted the six years- 1924-29 as 37,000 hbUses, but pointed but that Under the Labour regime each flat counted as one house For example, in 1940, .81 buildings of flats counted as §27 houses.
