WEDDING

BRANDT—WALSH,

A wedding of interest was celebrated on Saturday morning, September 11, at the Basilica, Hill Street, when Pauline Mary, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Walsh, Seaview Terrace, Northland, was married to First Lieutenant J. L. Brandt, U.S.M.C., only son of Mrs. M. Brandt, U.S.A. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father Tottman, who also performed the ceremony. Miss Milligan presided at the organ.

The bride, who entered the church escorted by her father, wore a gown of white satin cut on classical lines. The effect was enhanced by a beau-tifully-embroidered veil, a halo of orange blossom, and a sheaf of lilies. The bridesmaids, Miss Romola Bennett and Miss Margaret Pollock, wore frocks of almond green georgette with shoulder-length veils of the same shade and bouquets of spiking flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Lieutenants Andrews and Fallon. U.S.M.C.

The reception was held in the lounge of the Midland Hotel, where the guests were received by the bride's mother, Mrs. J. P. Walsh, assisted by Miss X Walsh, aunt of the bride. The bride travelled in a grey tailored suit with bui'gundy accessories.
