TRADE UNION PLEDGE
A meeting of trade union members in the Hutt Valley yesterday was addressed by Messrs. Thomas, Allerby, Baxter, Scott, and Hill. The following .motion was carried unanimously:— "That this meeting •of Hutt Valley trade unionists and members of the' genera] public expresses complete confidence in the Labour Government and admiration for the manner in which the Government has rallied the people in the supreme task of defeating Fascism and Nazism and winning the war. We pledge our full support for Labour in the coming election and urge upon all members the necessity of ensuring a complete victory for Labour and their policy of progress for all the people." .
