OFF THE BELGIAN COAST
LIGHT FORCES IN ACTION
LONDON, June 7
British light naval forces were in action off the Belgian coast early this morning. They made contact with a much stronger German naval force, including at least two modern 600-ton torpedo-boats. One of these was almost certainly sunk when hit amidships by a torpedo,
In spite of heavy German attacks, all the British ships returned to their base, Two of the crew of one of the light craft were killed.
