PAY IN AMERICAN FORCES
WASHINGTON, June 6,
A. joint House and Senate Committee agreed, to the compromise figure Of 46 dollars a month as the basic minimum pay for men of the armed services, The Senate had previously approved a 42-dollar figure, while the House approved 5C dollars, The two Chambers are expected to ratify the agreement next week.
The House voted to abolish the Civilian Conservation Corps as from . uly I, but voted to continue the National Youth, Admijiigtratioii.
